Codiac Needlesafe

As I was walking to work yesterday, I came across a gentleman walking a couple of dogs. They stopped to sniff me, so I patted them, and their walker informed me that they were needle dogs: they sniffed out used needles so they could be safely removed without anyone getting harmed.

I should have stopped to get a photo; alas, I did not. He informed me that he’s working on getting non-profit status, and that he’s currently based out of the Karing Kitchen on Alma Street.

If you find used needles in your area, please give him a call at the Kitchen and he will dispose of them safely for you.

What a great service this man is doing for the Greater Moncton Area!

As for me, I’ll be singing in my concert in Fundy Park! What are you up to? Post and share!

These two photos are ones I took at the St. George Block Party on Sunday. June 26. There were vendors, there was food, delicious smells all around, baton twirlers, clowns, Tae Kwan Do demonstrations, and in the evening, bands played. All in all a very fun and event-filled day! Looking forward to next year’s event already.

Feel free to share pictures of your own from the event!

Rosedale CD Launch - Live in Fundy National Park →

Here’s an event that’s free for all to come to, and is also a great way to celebrate Canada Day! My band, Rosedale, will be performing and launching its debut album. Here are the details:

When: July 1, 2011, at 7:00 PM

Where: The amphitheater across McClaren Pond right by the entrance to Fundy National Park, across the street from the visitor’s information center.

What: Live music played by band Rosedale, as well as some songs played by local artist Robin Anne Ettles.

Admission is completely free! The concert is to celebrate Canada Day and to celebrate the launch of Rosedale’s debut CD. All are welcome, and Fundy Park’s admission to the park will also be free for that day.
